Our team spent the last three months testing paver products across two homes, a rental property, and a community garden plot. We hauled gravel, snapped plastic grids, walked barefoot on river rocks in the rain, and yes, drove a truck over each candidate. The short answer for anyone searching for the best pavers in is … Read more

After three weekends of installing, dismantling, and watching gates hang in real backyards, our team put eight of the best fence gates on Amazon through their paces. Gate sagging showed up on every poorly-built unit we tested within 48 hours, and it is the single biggest complaint we kept seeing on r/FenceBuilding and r/DIY. We … Read more

I still remember the first time I tried cutting a concrete slab with a handheld circular saw. The dust cloud was insane, the blade wandered off the chalk line after 6 inches, and I burned through two diamond blades trying to get a 3-inch deep cut. That weekend taught me a hard lesson: when the … Read more

I have spent the last three months testing plate compactors across paver patios, gravel driveways, and trench work. In this guide, I break … Read more

I spent three weekends cutting rebar on real job sites — pouring a 30-foot retaining wall, prepping column cages for a small foundation, and helping a friend knock out a backyard patio slab. By the end of it, I’d burned through 1,400 cuts across six different tools, and the gap between a great rebar cutter … Read more

When I started cutting patio pavers with a dull old circular saw, the dust cloud looked like a fog machine at a concert. That was the day I went shopping for a real masonry saw. After testing eight models over the past three months on brick, concrete block, and pavers around my property, I found … Read more

Our team spent 60 days testing 8 of the best brick saws on everything from clay pavers to reinforced concrete blocks, … Read more
